Areas of Practice

Strategic Planning

The world of animal care and welfare is constantly changing. Whether your organization is reorganizing, wanting to implement current best practices, or experiencing mission drift and need direction, we are here to help.

Updating STandard Operating Procedures

Demystifying cross-contamination, integrating low-stress and Fear Free handling techniques, or simply creating structures and frameworks for daily care or cruelty and investigations. I’m happy to review or create SOPs that meet the mission of your organization.

Disaster Preparedness

No facility that houses animals is immune from experiencing disaster. A disaster may be a prolonged power outage or infrastructure issues, or something as severe as needing a shelter-in-place or evacuation plan for your facility

Developing Enrichment Programs

The awareness of mental health on the immune system of dogs, cats, and small pets is an area of increasing importance. Developing an enrichment program is more than just acquiring the items needed to start.

Emergency Animal Sheltering

Many municipalities lack consideration for people and their pets in their disaster planning, including how to shelter those families. We create individual and customizable guidelines and protocols for Emergency Animal Shelters that also comply with FEMA guidelines
